A Few Adjectives
Amidst the to-do lists, logistics that need to be ironed out and wonderings as a Servant Event leader comes a glimmer of hope and "that's why we do it" now and then. Today in the mail I was treated to one of those moments.
One of the preliminary forms for our Servant Event is a Homeowner Agreement Form which needs to be signed. It is a very dry document, filled with legal terms and stating of facts. Although it is very necessary, it isn't very warm and fuzzy. However, one of the homeowners attached a separate note along with her form that said this:
"Greg-
Here is the paperwork you asked me for. I am humbled, grateful, scared, apprehensive, thankful, awestruck, and blessed. Things like this do not happen to me until now.
Thank You."
This is the same homeowner who said that this is the only nice thing anyone has done for her since her husband died. That was fifteen years ago!
I think I'd have to say that a lot of those same adjectives apply to how I'm feeling as well.
